I think the odds it’s Elko are a lot higher than Traylor. It obviously won’t be Willie Fritz

Regarding Mike Elko. I get the connection but am I the only one not really buying the hype?
Duke had a lot of preseason/early season hype based off beating a bad clemson team and have lost 5 of their last 7 games.
He went 9-4 last year. Solid but not any better than cutcliffe did there yet Cutcliffe was never up for a job like TAMU.
His wiki has his defensive stats on it too. He had one season where TAMU was a top 10 defense which was the covid year. Otherwise it was 34, 30 and 20. Solid numbers but not spectacular. DJ Durkin is doing just as good.
Just seems like a lot of people are calling him the "smart" hire but I just see it as pretty underwhelming.
