At times sure but Penn has actually been a pleasant surprise on his read and reaction throughout the season. He has been far more steady than people want to give him credit for. Speights has struggled and looked a bit slow but Penn has not for the most part. He has missed a few reads obviously but his mistakes are far less than what the rest of the defense has been.

In the LB defense, they have been very poorly coached for the past 2 years. Imperative to get a solid LB coach in the fold to rejuvenate Perkins, salvage Penn, and work with Braithwaite and the incoming freshmen.
