Since they closed in the south upper, it has certainly lost something.

The band needs to play between every down. No more piped in music. Get the crowd going and chanting, not dancing to crap music.

I was in the Alumni Band playing in the stands this weekend.

Tiger Band plays between every down when the Tigers are on offense, when the defense makes a stop, when the opposing offense gets in the red zone, and during pretty much every time out.

In short, Tiger Band plays a lot more now than they did when I was in on the Tuba line in the 80s.

Whatever the problems someone may have with the Tiger Stadium atmosphere, it isn't because Tiger Band doesn't play enough.
