I have one Replaced it twice in 24 years. Works great. Mine is propane and only smell it the first time you use it. It’s not bad if you blow the dust off before the first use. The guy that says it gives him a headache may need new logs. If you crack or break a piece off you are suppose to replace it. No problems out of mine. This is the only heat we use

whether wood or gas any flame still needs combustion air to burn. If there’s no flue then combustion air is coming from your indoor air. So don’t use these ventless logs in a small or confined area
