It probably is, but what does that matter? Those men fought and died alongside everyone else.

I do not know enough about this show but the one thing I did not like about The Pacific was how it jumped around and did follow one group like BoB. The Red Tails flew out of Italy after leaving Northern African and Sicily. So I am wondering are they going to jump between the two groups on different episodes.

Something Lucas's movie failed to show as well that by the end of 1942 most of the Luftwaffe fighter planes/corps was destroyed. They had very little left to shoot down allied bombers. Yes, the Red Tails were successful, but they did not hit the war until sometime in 1943 and by then the bombers biggest concern were anti air guns.
