$28,800 a year? Was this some tricked out day care? Do they still have one or two wives in neighborhoods who watches kids. You pay them $200 in cash, they have around 4 or 5 kids. Every week a different parent brings snacks for the week, for lunch they have hotdogs, something chef Boyardee.
Man we need to go back to the good ole days.

it's a very nice Montessori school in a nice neighborhood in the burbs. It was by far not the most expensive place around either. However, the Kids R Kids/Discovery/et around here are going for $1100 anyways.
Also, its more of a school than a daycare...

Indeed. I paid a woman to watch my kids for $100 per week. Sent their food and snacks and she also gave some. Then at 3, started prek at Catholic school for like whatever that tuition was. Much cheaper than a daycare.

We did this with a family in Ascension early on, but the issue is they kept growing “the business” and had zero checks and balances when it came to illness, so stomach flu tore through for a solid 8 weeks before we had to move to an official daycare.
They also didn’t engage the kids once they took on too many people, so it was just a room full of infants and toddlers watching Cocomelon all day.
Oh, and they also adopted pits. Seriously.
(And if either of you read this, I still think you’re lovely people)
