Let the doctors decide if JD can play. If not 100% then
play Nuss. But with 3 losses, I think we need to start playing more like the bowl game to start preparing Nuss for the future

If Nuss had played the bowl game his freshman year, Daniels might not even be here. Kid had a golden opportunity for 3+ weeks of starting QB practice and a full game as starter, but decided to sit out. Thing about it that still irks me is that he would have had 3+ years here or anywhere else, and chose not to take the extra reps and live game reps. Don't get me wrong, him staying is a blessing for LSU for at least next year (he could be one and done if he wanted), but he put himself in this predicament.

No coach worth his weight would play a backup if the starter is ready to go, and no starter worth his weight would sit out if he was able to go. Neither Kelly or JD strike me as a guy who would give up unless it were that bad. My hope as a fan is that Daniels is so damn good and the other team offenses are so damn bad, that Daniels can sit out every fourth quarter the rest of the way, and Nuss can just practice for 4 quarters (bowl game included).

He needs a little over 1200 pass yards (300 per game) to reach 4000 and 13 TDs to reach 40. He needs 316 rush yards (80 per game) to reach 1000 and 4 TDs to reach 10.
