I actually woke up this am thinking about chickens. We have a nice coop and free-range yard. But we also have many predators (mink, coyotes, bear, etc), and my dogs are already barking at every leaf rustle right now. And they’d probably figure out how to get in there and kill them all. I think I’m gonna wait a bit.

It isnt hard to protect them but if you have a rough start rhe challenge can be fun
