or wait until game day and buy from outside the Ga. Dome? I'm taking my 8 year old son to his first LSU game and do not wanna go way overboard spending online if i can save and get a couple in person.

I still have one from the last time we went and played GA Tech.... TONS of tickets for sale outside, not enough buying.

i would say we are:
85% in Atlanta
10% in Tampa
5% in Dallas
as of 9:45 on 12/4

this would be the reason that i would get them in advance just so you can be sure that you and him will definitely not miss his "first game". let's hope lsu goes to peach, though.

Agreed. Give him the tickets as an X-Mas present with LSU gear. Buy him a program at the game. Have fun. Nothing better than taking your kids to their first LSU game and it is very cool that it is a bowl game. Geaux Tigers!

I would say that there will be plenty outside. The only factor is that GA. Tech has the local fanbase. Tickets may get gobbled up if available. Nevertheless, odds are pretty good that there will be a surplus available on the street.
It's your call, regardless. If you buy in advance, there will be plenty on gameday...if you don't, there won't be as many. A little thing called life...

I sat in the press box for the 2005 bowl and i always tell him about the experience. He told me last week he definitely wants to be there. I think i might just wait until the day before the game and check Craigslist.

Yea but you may be able to get them cheaper if you get your kid to go ask someone to buy tickets.

I would definately try and get them ahead of time.
I have been to most Peach Bowls and the Tech/LSU Peach Bowl (We still haven't covered you guys by the way)in 2000 was the hardest ticket that I have ever gotten. I did not see a single ticket for sale before the game so folks may be thinking about the Peach Bowl with Miami.
Tech has already sold out their allotment and is going nuts over Paul Johnson. I would strongly recommend you gets your tickets sooner rather than later.

LSU said that every season ticket holder who requested tickets in advance will get their full order, regardless of what bowl LSU goes to. That means that requests were significantly down compared to years past. There are additional tickets going on sale to the public next week. LSU fans aren't excited about playing in a bowl this season. I just hope the university doesn't have to return any tickets to the bowl.

I would buy them in advance. The Christmas idea sounds like a good idea, and that way you don't have to worry about finding or not finding tickets outside the Ga Dome.
