Does tonight’s game count toward the tournament?

I read about the format of the in-season tournament and im still confused. It was supposed to start yesterday, but we’re playing the hawks today, and they’re not even in our group

No. Like you said, they aren't in our group. It looks like the IST games will be Tuesdays and Fridays. LINK

Oddly enough, even though Denver is in our group and the IST has started, Monday's game against Denver isn't a tournament game.

Here's the Pels' schedule, it shows which games are IST games. LINK

@Houston Fri Nov 10
Dallas Tue Nov 14
Denver Fri Nov 17
@Clippers Fri Nov 24

Basically, if we play on a Tuesday or Friday in November, it's a tourney game, at least that's how I understand it.

Heres an idea if you hate the idea of the tournament so much just pretend its regular season game because it technically is.

By the way, the idea is working, last night the margin of victory for the teams was a lot closer during this time of the year than its ever been in a while. I could do without the crazy court colors though.
