Was a top 5 coach in CFB for a majority of his stay at LSU. Did not adapt later.

He was never a top coach. His offense was always garbage. Guys were regularly told by NFL types to leave early as they would get better developed in the NFL than with that idiot, hence every dude going pro as soon as possible.

Saban had completely built a juggernaut, Bama was down, and the rest of the west didn’t have the players we did until Saban returned.

Just because we won a shitload of awfully managed games with penalties, errors, but rain up the middle every play and still won… does not mean the guy was a good coach.

The guy who talked like an idiot, acted like an idiot, looked like an idiot…was an idiot.

We had a shot to be that Bama dynasty had we beat them in both those 2012 games.

The NC where we would’ve had one of the best CFB seasons ever, plus the heartbreaker in TS in 2012 where had we won could’ve been the ones to get to destroy ND in the title game instead of Bama winning back to back titles.

Was a great coach until the debacle in the NC vs Alabama. He never recovered and simply became a "good" coach after that. Capable of winning 10 games but not one to lead to continuous NC appearances.
