Yes, Nuss is the guy. He’s paid his dues. Skill set is solid. Let’s worry more about DBs.

I suspect the current plan is that Nuss take over the starting job next season. However I think a coach has a duty to explore all opportunities to improve his roster (if possible). No one knows right now what QBs will be in the portal in the offseason. It is entirely possible there may be someone the coaches think is better than Nuss. That's not likely. But not impossible either.

Just because someone has "paid their dues" doesn't mean the staff shouldn't seize a better option if it is available. Two years ago MANY on here were angry (or at least disgruntled) that LSU took a transfer from Arizona St. when they had a 6th year senior (Brennan) who had "paid his dues" and decided to return to LSU after initially seeking a transfer. Is any rationale fan today still angry that LSU took Daniels when it looked like their starting QB was already on the roster?
