I’m trying, but it’s clearly addictive. The couple of times I’ve been able to abstain for any length of time I got the usual headaches on the first couple of days, then awful body aches that would move around; starting with low back then down to different parts of my hips and legs. Lasted for about 2 weeks. If you can’t go through your day normally without the stuff, something is definitely wrong.

Oh yeah, it's utterly addictive. I really do fail to see the benefit of it. I haven't had any liquid caffeine in probably 25 years, and it seems only to the positive - both physically and logistically (I often marvel at just how disruptive the search for caffeine can be, especially during travel).
