According to BK Whit flashes but isn't always in the right spot while Speights is experienced and knows where to be.

Does it really matter if you are in the right spot if you can't make the play when you are there?

You don't want a guy who is rarely in the right spot either. But Weeks at least makes some plays when he's in the. In most games you forget Speights is even out there. Thus far he doesn't have a single TFL or sack in 5 games. Weeks has 3.0 TFLs and 0.5 sacks. Not eye popping numbers. But better than zero.

I'm not saying Speights shouldn't be playing. But I don't think Weeks should be largely out of the rotation. In 2013 and 2014 DJ Welter continued to start game after game because he was more experienced than Kendall Beckwith. Yet, Welter rarely made any impact plays for what was a pretty weak defense (relative to prior LSU defenses). Beckwith eventually started playing more and more...and impact plays followed.

Knowing where to be doesn’t mean shite if you can’t make the play

Early 2nd half Army QB makes a long run running to his right while Speights went in the opposite direction.
