Chandy writes Dana downplayed the home woes. Says it was a fluke & aberration. The players starting talking about it and then the mental game took over.
Also writes that there's interest in bringing Lump back as the backup to mentor Yainer as someone who already has intimate knowledge of working with these pitchers.
I want no part of him. I don't want his presence hovering over Yainer. I want a clean slate where Yainer knows he's the guy and there's not this Maldy/JV, Maldy/Framber dynamic looming

You're right, and it's a shame, b/c he would be damn near the perfect fit for this role, had he not been misused and overused this past season by a moron
