Could be just the casual baseball fan who latched onto the Astros when they drafted Bregman. That’s not really unusual, though, and I really don’t see what’s wrong with it. I’d be willing to bet that practically all, if not all, of the regular posters in the DAT are in your other 30%.
ETA: I’ve been an Astros fan since the late 70’s, but I did buy an Orioles hat when they drafted Ben McDonald.

I have been an LSU fan my whole life. With that being said, Bregman going there did not make become an Astros fan. But I do get your point
