Since you're driving in sales, it all will come down to where your wife (where are the pics) works.
Dallas traffic sucks at odd times of the day. Depending on your budget the area around Grandscape is also nice. If you want the best neighborhood and best public schools close to downtown Dallas its gotta be Highland Park.

Dude looked at houses in Garland and has old lady running on the hamster wheel with him. I don’t know for certain, but I’m guessing the $3M tear downs in highland park are out of his budget.
