OU and UW both should've dropped despite winning.

Washington received a few first place votes last week after they beat Oregon. Those are gone this week. So, in a sense, they did drop behind the scenes in the ballots.

The problem dropping highly ranked teams is always “who do you replace them with?”. They are both undefeated, both have wins against top 10 teams, and both are ranked behind four other undefeated teams.

Texas?
OU just beat them, and they really struggled to beat Houston yesterday.

Oregon?
Washington just beat them.

Alabama?
They had a great second half yesterday, but how often have they looked liked a top 5 team this season? Plus, they’d have to jump Texas in the polls.

You can’t just drop a team every time the win a close game that they should’ve won by more. You think OU, Texas, Washington all should’ve dropped yesterday? Bama last week? That’s #5, #6, #7, and #9. Drop all of them and replace them with who?

The only thing I could come up with is 4-6/7 all struggled so they just left then where they were. On top of that, most of those voters were probably asleep during the Washington game.

That is silly.

5. Washington Undefeated, has a win over #8
6. Oklahoma Undefeated, has a win over #7
7. Texas 1 loss to #6
8. Oregon 1 loss to #6 1 loss to #5
9. Alabama 1 loss to #7

Maybe juxtapose 5 & 6, maybe.

It'll take care of itself eventually, I believe.
