I paid to bury my father and mother with no help from one sibling and very little help from another sibling.

I've managed to raise my kids, educate them, give them transportation, and houses the wife and I inherited, putting them on the road to success, and they all work.

Every dime I'm setting aside at my advanced age will go to my wife not worrying about buying groceries or paying the utilities, and THEN it will all go to my grandkids for their education or whatever they need. I don't want them to have to scrape like I did, worrying about where the next dollar was coming from.

We spend a shite ton on grands now. Rather see them enjoy it than fight over it when I am gone.
