UI things got better in recent generations. I have an X90L and there are no issues with the UI and no need to reboot. Putting Google TV into "apps only" mode makes it a highly enjoyable experience. Very simple and fluid.

I don't hook up wifi as I don't want the smart tv functions. I just plug in Roku for those.
