I was severely depressed when my wife filed for divorce. But I went to work and prepped hard, and it paid off. The judge basically called my wife a whore when denying her alimony (but in legal terms), and during the actual hearing, my lawyer destroyed my ex. The judge actually awarded me even more than MY lawyer asked for - turned out to be an 80/20, 85/15 split, something like that, and I kept the house and didn’t have to pay off any of her debt. A year later and I’m pretty darn happy.
