Guy thought it was a prop gun. I don't like him or his politics either, but I don't understand why prison is the right ending here. He had hired professionals to do their jobs with the props and it was his production, so obviously he's civilly liable big time, but he wasn't criminally negligent.
Or am I missing something?

No you are spot on. These baws want a hanging based on political opinions. This was the very definition of basic negligence if any on his part. If it was James woods these red neck baws would want him on Trump’s ticket. The worst part is most of them can’t read well enough to find their way to the poli board.
