I didn't see him. Kelly needs to be careful with how he handles young talented players in the transfer portal era. Jalen Brown, Shelton Sampson, Kyle Parker, Khai Prean, Jaxon Howard, DaShawn Womack have barely played this year. Trey Holly hasn't played at all last I saw.

So who’s carries would Holly get ? I think he has potential but likely to redshirt and be in the rotation with Jackson next year and possibly Durham

Kelly plays freshman if they're good enough. He's not going to force freshman into the game, especially not at WR, where there is a an objective benefit to keeping the same players on the field at all times.
Last year it was re rotate players too much, this year it's we don't rotate guys in enough
We brought in 4 upperclassmen edge rushers, all of whom were multi year starters at P5 schools. We have 8 running backs on the roster. See above re: receiver.
You don't play freshman simply because you don't want them to transfer.

The WRs just happen to be behind some really talented guys. Holly might get carries in an upcoming non-conference game. But I can’t imagine guys getting mad about playing time at certain positions.

So are you suggesting he just play players to stop them from transferring even if they aren’t ready to play?
Portal works both ways dude. You think lsu is the only school not playing its entire freshman class?

4 receivers, 2 edge players and a running back on a team that has veteran wide outs that will be gone next year along with edge being wide open is the least of LSU’s concerns. It seems like Kelly is building his team perfectly on the offensive side of the ball.
