I have now seen peak football transitive property

Unfortunately, that was all the connections Southern teams had to other regions that year. None of them suggest they could compete with the powers in the Midwest or Northeast. The transitive property only breaks down when there are contradictory results. There are no contradictions here.

Mike LSU tried hard to play Michigan in New Orleans in 1908.

Joe Curtis head coach of Tulane warned Michigan's coach Yost not to play LSU due to its speed on the field.

Joe saw LSU play Texas A&M and Haskell and Haskell is the key along with Mayhew to find out how good the 1908 team was at its time.

Mayhew is a track and field man and made 2nd team All American, he was easily beat in a foot race by Doc and Mike Lally, these were not close races. Coach Mayhew also made All American at halfback at Brown.

Haskell game is where Ty Cobb lost $3000.00 betting on Haskell to win. To say the least he was mad, he had just got back from Japan with his wife (if I remember correct, I do have copies of the articles).
