Attorney Algonquin J. Calhoun, Esq., giving his closing argument defending George "Kingfish" Stevens who was charged with stealing coins from a pay telephone: "Your honor, you have heard the prosecution tell you that my client is dishonest. Your honor, it's easy for him to say that because my client is a crook!"

Judge: "Mr. George "Kingfish" Stevens, is there anything you'd like to say to the court before I pronounce judgement?"

"Kingfish" Stevens: "Yes, you honor, there is something I would like to axe: How much ground has I lost since my attorney showed up?"
