Which is part of the problem. Daredevil, like Punisher, is a dark series because it deals (as much as a fictional world can) the grimy underbelly of society and how that can present someone with high moral character a choice between only two bad possible solutions.

Daredevil is dark. It was the Marvel answer to Batman. It's supposed to be dark. How many people were killed with the snap of a finger in The Avengers?
If Disney is going to continue to actually try and improve their Marvel brand, they're going to have to move some stuff off Disney plus to Hulu or partner with less "family friendly" streaming sources. Imagine trying to do Punisher or X-Men.
