Great, start another OP thread on this topic if you like, but this literally has nothing to do with the OP which focuses on crude oil in literally every paragraph of said OP.

We are a net exporter of crude oil after including the refined products from domestic and imported crude are considered. Major refineries depend on exports to remain in business.

Take the former Shell refinery in Deer Park, TX. It has been importing Mexican crude since the 1980's BECAUSE Shell had a deal with Mexico to export almost all of the gasoline to Mexico. The name changed to Deer Park Manufacturing Complex due PEMEX bought 50% of the refinery to pay for all the additional downstream units. Recently, Shell sold the rest to PEMEX.

The OP article literally says the 180 degree opposite of that...it explicitly states NET crude oil importer meaning it's factored in all the variables...not Gross...it says Net.

This is also a slap in the face of all those previous posters I mentioned. That's why they haven't responded with notiger1997 only able to muster up an LOL because he's embarrassed. The chatty Cathy fighting tigers idiot also is crickets as well. They've spent months calling others like me an idiot for even suggesting we need to refill the emergency crude oil reserves because of this phantom notion that the US is a net (not gross) crude oil exporter.
