I have never bought a lottery ticket of any kind but that almost makes me want to buy one.

I wonder if any first-time single-ticket buyer has ever won the PB.

You’ll never win if you don’t play

Throw a $20 on it

Any first time purchase winners?

The vast 99.999999999999999972% of folks who even purchase multiple tickets every day, have never won.

Seems like I read where a farmer who had foreclosure pending on the family farm somewhere in Iowa, stopped and purchased the first lottery ticket he ever considered buying and won multiple millions of dollars in one or the other lottery drawings ten or twelve years back.

Perhaps we are ready for another one of those stories they publicize to keep everyone buying tickets.

I always said the casinos are happy beyond belief when someone hits big on a slot machine because they know the percentages built into the system and understand thousands of thousands have already lost every time some big winner comes along.

Having said that, I had a ticket last night and will have one Monday might. If I won and they wanted to say it was the first ticket I ever purchased, that would be OK with me as long as they didn't share my name in the story.

edit:

I went back and read the posts. If you think California always wins, you need to read how much money flows into the drawings from California, NY, Florida and NJ every drawing. Of course they are more likely to win. The winners come from those places because millions of tickets come from those places.
