I'd rather have another dagger for $299 manufactured by PSA.
On 1911's, if it's less than $600, I'm skeptical of the quality. Nothing against PSA, but this pistol and the $299 10 round shotguns, et al that they sale throw up red flags for me initially.

Might be a good base to send out to a gunsmith to get reworked.

Tisas are generally shite. as mentioned, any 1911 less than 700.00 would be suspect for me anyway.
FWIW if you looking to go on the cheap check out this beauty by Hi-Point available in 9mm and 10mm.

Forged frame and slide. Solid guns for the price that are reliable and more accurate than most people can shoot.

It's in 9mm. SACRILEGE I say!
If this was in God's Caliber I would buy one.

Why not have both 9mm and 45 versions? 9mm 1911s also can easily be converted to a 38 super with a barrel and recoil spring swap. Use 9mm for practice. 38 super loaded with 147 XTPs makes a hell of a round for woods carry and defense.

Most pistol smiths won’t work on Turkish\RIA 1911’s. They have penning issues from using softer steel for their frames and slides. It’s one way they cut costs. There is a reason they cost so much less.

You realize Browning’s original design was using the 9mm. The army wanted the 45 ACP because of issues with the 9mm test trials using 50 German Lugers. There were also stopping power issues with the 38 S&W revolvers during the Phillipene-American war in 1903. Soldiers hated the 38. Again the army wanted a sidearm with more stopping power.
There are more 9mm 1911’s being produced today than 45 acp. Ammo is cheaper and 9mm defense rounds aren’t far off from 45 acp defensive ammo. I have both but prefer shooting my 9mm 1911’s.
My semi custom Springfield EMP3 9mm is my daily carry in a Milt Sparks Summer Special II. Love this rig. It’s accurate, recoil is easy to manage and reliable. I have 700 rounds through it with no issues.
Added
WC sear
WC disconnect
WC combat hammer
Nighthawk slide stop
Smith and Alexander magwell
Heinie Ledge straight 8 night sights
Harrison customs flat trigger

shite, we're all in trouble now being how popular 4140 steel is in the rest of the firearms industry.
Also, all this talk about gunsmiths not wanting to work on them is internet hype. The hammer and sears on a lot of these 1911s are surface hardened. That means once you have a well intentioned gunsmith give you a trigger job by removing the surface hardening, guess what happens? Your hammer and sear wear out quickly. Want to take another guess as to what other 1911s were found out to not be good candidates for trigger jobs due to surface hardened parts? Colt 1911A1s and a list of others. Yet internet jockeys somehow feel like they are experts when they point out something on a $300 gun that has the same issues as something they hail as superior.
The point is, for $300, you are getting a forged 4140 frame, forged 4140 slide and cold hammer forged barrel. Want a better trigger? Get a hammer and sear kit and it will drop right in without much cost.

Yea I'd buy that.
It's had good reviews and when a buddy got a .45 version and we shot it it ran great. Ate all his random shells he had in his gun bag.
