Works out great for me. I get to keep cars that are a few years old and under warranty.
Plus it allows me to get into some cool rides. For example I bought my 2017 F250 for 77k and paid it off in 3 years. Kept it for 5 so I had two years without payments and saved the money. In 2022 I traded it in for 57k with 60k miles on it and bought my 22 F250 for 82k. I put 15k down and financed 10k for 60 months. Made a few payments to help my credit then paid it off so I haven’t had a truck payment in over a year.
It makes it a whole lot easier to pull the trigger on a 90k truck when you’ve got 60k to 70k down payment and haven’t had a truck note in years.
