Plan was to put down MSM/surfactant tomorrow and follow up with sledgehammer in a couple of weeks, as well as Prodiamine provided soil temps are right.

Is this a good plan heading into the fall?

If you are spraying the whole yard with MSM then the whole yard with Sledgehammer a couple of weeks later. I would mix them together and cut your time spraying. Because you may have to do a follow up spray in about 10 days to 2 weeks. I’ve always had to spray sledgehammer twice to get it all.

I sprayed Celsius, Quinclorac and Propiconazole all in one dose yesterday and hopefully I have only one more spraying next month of pre-emergent.

Why are y’all waiting so long for Pre emergent?

I read on this board today that our main winter weed, Poa, germinates at 70°

We are flirting with that soon with lows in the upper 40s this weekend (BR).

Soil temps just reached consistently in the 70s. Spraying with temps any warmer doesn’t work as well.

5 day average is 80 currently. Will monitor as it approaches 70.

Thanks will mix both herbicides this Sunday.

Put out MSM and Sedgehammer today.

How will I know of its working, or if and when I need to put down another application? I’m unsure how many SF I covered and may have had a faster pace than I should have.

A few weeks - they are systemic herbicides - takes a while, particularly with the slightly cooler weather.
