Does this coaching staff stink?

The coaching staff is pretty vocal about being "fundamentally sound" and "doing the little things right". The weird thing is that this is one of the most un-fundamentally sound LSU defenses I've ever seen. Matt House was possessed by Bo Pelini last night.
Giving up 700 yards to ole miss and being ranked 114 defensively is 100% on coaching. I know we don't have first rounders in the secondary but my God..... our players are not this bad.

Woodward will spend $200M on Spurrier or Bob Stoops or Vince Lombardi’s headstone. We will be fine

The defensive staff and any individual that helps chip in on special teams are very bad

But they are.
Sage Ryan has been cheeks since day 1.
Chestnut is cheeks
Welch is cheeks
Denver Harris is serviceable at best
Maason is cheeks
Ovie is cheeks
Speights is cheeks
Burns is cheeks
The defense literally relies on Wingo Perkins and Weeks. That’s it.

They sure love to make player adjustments a game late

Sage- 5 star
Chestnut- Freshman All American/ACC defensive rookie of the year
Welch-4 star
Harris- 5 star
Maason- 5 star
Speights- All pac 12 first team
It's not like they don't know how to play football. They just all happened to be good at football before they got to LSU? That seems weird. Im not saying they're first rounders but I think they are talented enough to hold ole miss to 42 points with decent coaching.

How’d he do versus the 2 decent teams in the ACC?

Welch- young and inexperienced
Harris- young and inexperienced
Maason- hurt and doesn’t trust himself
Speights- pac 12 yeah that isn’t SEC competition buddy

"yea thats not SEC competition" This isn't 2010 buddy. SEC competition doesn't mean a damn thing anymore.

The funny thing is the coaches get the smallest decisions wrong on a consistent basis. It's embarrassing to not understand clock management, or their ability to play the actual best player. Then 3rd week they finally do play Weeks and Diggs only to bench Weeks for half the game last night. Weeks is one of the very few who played with intensity and yet he just sits because they stupidly follow the rule of wait your turn.
It's taken them 4 weeks to somewhat figure out who should be playing and even then they still are finding ways to screw that up. Oh and the way Brian Kelly thinks is if we aren't moving the ball, then go for it on 4th down. But if the game is on the line and we've been moving the ball and our defense can't be trusted, go on and just waste a play then punt it away. And the pooch kickoff was stupid as well.
Little things right my butt. I figure we're 11 years from a championship if BK runs his full contract. And last but not least, he has no idea how to pick a coordinator or to correct his wrong because in his perfect eyes, he's made no mistake. HE IS THE MISTAKE.
