The key to trapping them is making a funnel. I haven’t found anything that reliably baits them into a trap. Figure out where they are traveling (side of the house, a fence line etc.). Take a handful of cinder blocks and build a funnel that leads into a have a heart trap. Then you can release them elsewhere or dispatch.

The wooden trap makers say that armadillo scent lures them into the traps. Funnel one in and leave him there a day to really stink it up. Then you don’t need the funnel anymore. Can’t do this with metal traps.
I caught one with a funnel in the wooden trap I built, but haven’t caught a second. Haven’t had new holes dug
yet either in the last week, so maybe they haven’t come back around. Not sure whether to be pleased or disappointed.
