I've killed hundreds of animals with subsonic ammo. Deer included. No issues at all if you know the limitations of your equipment and ammo

What is the point? Ammo is probably still supersonic out of a full length rifle barrel. What are you gaining?

at 1 in 7 twist on 16" barrel around 900 fps. Plus a can. Gaining a lot.

I guess you could ask, what are you not losing?

Your hearing. Shooting subs in a bolt action with a can will not hurt your hearing.

Also, have a Ruger American Predator in .308 and it sits in a magpul american stock.
Great gun especially for the price. I liked it so much I bought my nephew one for Christmas a couple of years ago. His girlfriend at the time (now fiance) bought him a magpul stock for it.
