I can appreciate your post, as the "first" onscreen female to whom I can recall any reaction is also the Baroness von Shletz. I was very happy to find her in Playboy in 1970.
It's a small world. In 1980 I met a woman who was a complete doppelganger for Elke. Also born in 1940 to German parents, she never knew her father, who as a German was deported when the U.S. went to war. She was Elke's first cousin.
Apples don't fall far from the tree - one of Elke's grand-nieces in the quad at LSU looks almost exactly like this.
