I seem to recall that on your recent expedition to PNW that Uncle attempted to arrange a surprise for you. It was obvious that you were extremely excited about whatever that possibility may have been.
I missed further references, so can you possibly share how that turned out?

You are gifted with a fine memory. I am glad you asked. Uncle came through in a big way. More to come on that, perhaps on the Arts Board. Watch that space.
Jim, how lovely it is to hike in a place with no poisonous snakes. Even better is when there are no grizzly bears present. The push from the NPS to reintroduce grizzlies to the North Cascades is, in my view, foolish and we will be poorer for it. The only reason Glacier and the Grand Te*** are not my favorite hiking parks is the presence, maybe even overpopulation, of those man eaters.
