Father of Kaz, the main protagonist from the animated series Resistance (not a good show BTW, way too geared towards young kids). In that show, the senator wasn't a bad guy...he just had his head in the sand about the emerging threat of the First Order until it was too late. Kind of how he has his head in the sand about Hera warning of Thrawn's return.

Which antagonist? Thrawn...wants to return to the Star Wars galaxy and rebuild the Empire. Shin wants power in the new Empire. Baylon is the one who's goals aren't clear. Which is all fine if it means they're going to leave us on a cliffhanger after next week's finale and have at least another whole season to look forward too. Sucks that the actor who plays Baylon won't be around if his character's story was meant to continue beyond this season.

Wouldn't be surprised if the Night Sisters end up being responsible for resurrecting Palpatine.
