You can’t blame a defense or even secondary if an offense is allowed to hold

I can definitely blame the secondary for losing guys in coverage and I can also blame the DL for losing their rush lanes and allowing KJ to escape.

With that said, I told the guy sitting next to me that there was no way KJ was scrambling this much and their OL wasn't holding. Its incredibly difficult to block for a guy when you don't know where he will be.

I get that

But if it wasn’t for the obvious and blatant holding
Many of those plays would not have happened

Two of the biggest plays of the night, on Arkansas' second drive the 3rd and 9 should have been a sack. Perkins got out of his rush lane and ran himself out of the play. If he goes inside since Swinson had the edge he would have either sacked KJ or forced KJ to get rid of the ball and we force a punt.

The other was the 3rd and 6 where KJ got outside and Zy blew the coverage when he saw KJ run instead of remaining on his man. If KJ stays on his man Perkins still forces the throw and Zy could have had a pick or pass breakup to force a punt.

Those two things are correctable and if done right for the next game could lead to a successful defensive game.

DL did not lose their rush lanes - almost none of KJs scrambles were outside of the pocket - he stepped up and then ran straight up the gut by the slimmest of margins
