Their plant south of Abbeville does provide a decent amount of jobs to that area, so that could be his motivation. That being said - that industry is fricking the fish habitat in the gulf

No need to outlaw it altogether, just pass common sense restrictions like in TX, MS, AL, FL so they have to fish further offshore and don’t decimate the close to shore redfish population as a result.

Karen’s would still get their catfood, would just have to pay a little more for it to cover the additional diesel costs.
