It's mostly these IMO.

Now that everyone is socially connected (via the internet and social media), there are no longer cultures of being yourself and being unique. So groups with their own style have given way to everyone sharing everything at all times, and people are becoming more uniform as a whole.

I'm not sure if that makes sense, but it does in my head.

I think this is likely true to an extent. Things that may have been more organically discovered in the past and might move through society slower are now almost instant. I don't know if it's a good thing or bad thing. But it's definitely different. With any advances in tech there are positive and negative social outcomes.
