They just willed that in. Stars goalie had no choice. He was eventually going to get plowed.

That’s the goal we need - Nate doing MVP things and Mikko being in the right spot

I've been wondering if some kind of weird knee/shin thing.
From a couple of different reports, it's like the worst place possible. The cut itself isn't horrible, but it's an infection risk.

I’d love Drouin back but he’s been out so long now I’m not sure how many minutes he can even play thrust right into a second round series
I don't disagree, but even if he wound up on the third line (probably pushes Kivi down to the fourth) - can you imagine that depth of scoring threats?
He could be playing a second line special teams PP and PK, third or fourth line in this series, and ramp up to what is needed.
Bednar has a history of timing players return the right way. I doubt it changes with Drouin.

Frick Rant, let's do that again. Real quick too.

Did any of yall catch the pregame segment on all the terrible angle short side goals this year? Henrik went into how the goalies are playing them terribly, shooters have adapted and now we’re seeing a lot of them.

2-1 Stars.
This game is pissing me right the F off.

22-13 SOG
Yeah I know but sometimes it works out like this. We've had some bad luck too tonight on offense but also, our shots have been a little off. The SOG is a little misleading.

More booze.
It will make this better or make it worse I guess

PP coming up with one chance and puck luck going Dallas' way.
I still like where we are at. This is the most complete game we've played to start one in this series. Gotta finish the final 25 the right way.

Execution has not been great but I can’t say any Av has played poorly although Makar has been fairly invisible
Hopefully it’s one of those where the grind pays off in the third
Damning stat of never leading for a second in the entire series is very bad

I'll say this, based on how Dallas has played all series.
I'll both not be shocked if they play their game and shut us down in the third. I'll also not be shocked if they show they're tired and we take a 2-3 goal win with 0s on the clock.
That's what makes this series so nuts, it's just unpredictable.

Yeah this game is either going to end 3-1 on an empty netter or 4-2 Avs

I think we see Chu back on the first line for the screens.
I get Bednar's idea of putting Lehky up, but at this point that is the ONE thing missing, particularly if they keep playing us up high at the blue line in the attacking zone.

We need more net front presence - Val needs to get in there

By all rights, we should be up by a score or two. This is maddening.

Yeah this third period is more of the same
They’re just shutting it down
I’m not optimistic here but still holding out hope

The Avs can’t make a crisp pass to save their lives. And it looks like they will get no hockey bounces tonight. F this game. How do you control the entire pace of the game and yet look so hopeless. I feel like I’m watching a game of keepaway.
