heard it was awesome and I was really unimpressed.

Food was very mediocre and the service wasn't good. Kitchen was slow (hour to get the food)

Hmm, that's strange. I really like the place. It's very unique and offers dishes that no other place in the city offers. Sorry to hear you had a bad meal.

You're 15 years too late. Was great back then. New owner ruined their good name unfortunately.

Been there a few times. Every time that I have had something baked (lasagna, manocatti, etc) the food was excellent. Every other time, the food was meh.

Their service is incredibly bad. But the entrees I've had have been really good. Chicken caciatorre, eggplant parm and chicken parm are excellent I think. I really like the little iron skillet service. Don't know if it adds anything to taste, but its a good presentation. To each his own. You could just check out DiGuilio's across the street.
