No. People who just didn’t read the books don’t see the same issues that book readers do. If I was a faithful book reader, I’d probably hate the show too. But I also wouldn’t be in here week after week bitching about it either.

Season 1 was weak but this season has been much much better in terms of quality for casual viewers. Not trying to dunk on those who love the books, just dunk on those who hate watch it or just flame the discussion threads because it’s not like the books

This stupid arse show is CW quality and I can’t imagine S2 escaping that.

You people have a low bar for decent fantasy entertainment.

I didn't read the books; at times I was more unimpressed with season 1 than the readers. There'd be a scene that was silly and pointless, and I'd say "WTF was that?", and a reader would say "it was supposed to be X, which is pretty cool. They could have done that better".

I fall into the casual viewer category, but haven't been able to get into this season. I watched a couple episodes, it still seemed rather pointless and confusing. So I haven't watched anymore. I might pick it back up, but my approach to shows is it shouldn't be that hard to follow things, and it should make me want to watch with something offered. I haven't found it yet.
