Just got back from a trip where we could leave the windows to our rental open all day and not have to worry about running the a/c. Would like to do something similar for a few hours now or for longer once the weather gets cooler. Any issues I should be aware of, like mold / strain on a/c once turned back on, etc. Anything to consider before opening the windows, such as making sure the outside humidity levels are below a certain threshold? Thanks

I frequently open windows here in BR in spring/fall when cool and breezy and never had any problems..growing up, parents often did same

to me, nothing better than airing out the house when the weather is nice

This sorta. I would focus on dewpoint probably. I can't give you a number, but I base it on feel. I can just tell when it's ok to do it and when it's not. Mostly post frontal conditions with zero clouds.

I'm in N.O. and open my windows quite a bit in the fall/winter months to get a good fresh air cross breeze flowing through the house.

My main issue is when the guy who maintains the ball park 1/2 block from my house hops on his ATV and drags the infield for about 20 minutes when the ground is dry. The whole infield is dirt, so it kicks up quite a bit of dust and that goes EVERYWHERE.
