Company I worked for had both union and non-union manufacturing plants around the world. The union plants were bad for business. The workers were lazy, resistant to any change to improve the process, and filed complaints when ever their feelings were hurt. The non-union plants were more advanced since they welcomed new technology that could improve our advantage over competitors. We shutdown union plants whenever possible if we could transfer production to a non-union plant. Unions are like cancer. They drag down US manufacturing.
