Please visit your local or area dog pounds. There are so many that need their home.
We got 2 puppies both lab mixes, about 8 years ago from the Montgomery County dog pound, when we were on the verge of retirement. The reasoning is they would have a playmate. Plus we live in a subdivision with a dog park.
Two years after we got them I found a red heeler that was abandoned in our dog park so I adopted her. The 3 of the have formed into an almost inseperable pack. One of the best decisions I ever made.
