Serious Baseball question?????

Why are there so many Cubs fans?
Just wondering. Its like being a Saints fan x1000, with all the heartbreak.
Then most fans have never been to Chicago and only watched because they had WGN.
I just don't get it, every one I know that's into baseball is a cubs fan.
The Cubs and the Cowboys have so many bandwagon fans, what gets me about the cubs is they suck.
Yet so many fans.

WGN played Cubs games nationally while we were growing up. Same with Braves fans and TBS.

I was told that before, my brother is a Braves fan and I did watch it on TBS, never used to watch WGN.

What's not to get? If you grow up watching a team play on TV I think it's pretty normal to be a fan of that team.

Sox and Yankees probably have more bandwagon fans. I almost wish the Sox would lose so they would all go away, but then they would come back later. Just way too may pink hats around who don't know much about the game.
I really thought the Cubs had a team to win it all or least get there and that this year was last year's "next year". The baseball gods didn't agree.
Since TBS is not showing Braves games I would think that the future Braves fans pipeline will be clogged for a while. WGN is still airing and will keep the interest of Cubs baseball alive. Many my have to do like me and pay $200 for the MLB package to watch their teams play.
