re: Why do people equate criticizing JD with “Blaming him entirely” for the loss?

He didn't throw a deep ball to BTJ. He threw a ball about a yard behind where BTJ already was and BTJ had to stop and nearly fall backwards to make it look catchable.
I don't care, catch the ball. It went through his hands. Catch the ball.

JD is the kid in class disrupting everyone else, causing problems but his parents fail to see it and blames everyone else.
At some point you have to realize he may not be the only problem but he is the main problem. He is the damn QB.

The WR was wide open on a busted coverage. Make a better throw and its an easier catch and probably a touchdown. Still should have been caught, but the quarterback made that a MUCH more difficult catch than it should’ve been. Make the throw.
Multiple times LSU had their #1 receiver Nabors 1 on 1 vs man coverage. Which is exactly what you want and great opportunities for big plays. JD botched everyone of those throws giving Nabors no real chance to make the catch. Make the throw.
Fact is for every bad drop LSU’s receivers had, JD had a bad throw or a bad read that cost LSU points and/or offensive momentum.
Once again, JD’s play was definitely not the biggest problem LSU had Sunday night. But it was A problem. It was once again very average QB play, not bad but not good either. And with LSU’s secondary problems, they are going to need more than that this year.
