I was fricking livid when he was traded to the Rangers after the 1988 season for Odibie McDowell and a few other stiffs smdh.
and ofc in typical Cleveland fashion Mr Franco not only became a perennial All-Star in Texas, he was the AL MVP in 1990 and won the batting title in 1991 IIRC
Indians brought him back to Cleveland for the 1996 season as 1B/DH and he was a solid offensive contributor for the AL Central champs.
