And what did those riots actually do, other than a slight disruption to Congressional business (which is a crime, but nowhere near an "insurrection")?

Stay on topic. You are talking about an insurrection. No person of any power had any "attempted murder" threats, so it's irrelevant to the topic of insurrection.
